Coxir Vita C Bright Serum Review
Vitamin C is that one ingredient that is used by almost all of us. I love using Vitamin C serums and today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on yet another Vitamin C Serum from a well known Korean skincare brand. This post is about Coxir Vita C Bright Serum Review. Coxir is a K Beauty brand launched in 2018. All their products are GMP certified meaning the products are of top-notch quality. They believe in the power of plant-based ingredients to make one’s skin healthy. The brand has different ranges and series of products targeting various skin concerns. The Coxir Vita C Bright Line consists of four products-toner, serum, moisturizer and eye cream. I have been using the Coxir Vita C Bright Serum for 2 months. Continue reading to know if this serum is a hit or miss.
Packaging and Fragrance of Coxir Vita C Bright Serum
I have always admired the packaging of Korean products. Their packaging is always simple, convenient and their formulations speak volumes in themselves. Unlike most of the vitamin c serums that are housed inside amber coloured glass bottles, this vitamin c serum is housed inside a transparent plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. Therefore always make sure you keep it in a cool place and away from sunlight. I prefer storing it in the fridge for that cooling effect during these hot weather conditions. The details regarding the product are mentioned on the outer cardboard box.The Vita C Bright Serum by Coxir has a mild floral and slightly citrusy fragrance. I didn’t find the fragrance too overpowering for my sensitive nose.
Coxir Vita C Bright Serum Review
The Coxir Vita C Bright Serum is enriched with vitamins (C, A and E) and Niacinamide. This concentrated vitamin c serum with antioxidant-rich vitamins claims to lighten and brighten the skin. The burst of these skin-loving vitamins will help in transforming your dull-looking skin to much brighter and radiant skin, whilst protecting it from harmful UV rays and moisturising at the same time. It has an extremely lightweight consistency. The texture is slightly watery/runny.
After cleansing and toning my face I need two pumps of it to cover my face and neck. After spreading it all over my face I tap it a little bit for better absorption. The application of this serum feels like one is slathering a moisture-filled water-like layer on your face. It gets absorbed into the skin within few seconds. I usually prefer to do a patch test before trying out a Vitamin C serum. But with this particular variant, I straight went away with the application. The reason behind it is that Ascorbic Acid is mentioned as the fourth last ingredient in the INCI list. Therefore I assume it to be a mild yet effective formulation. Also, it is mentioned that this vitamin c serum can be used by all skin types.
Benefits of Prime Ingredients
Now let me first list down the benefits of the prime ingredients in this serum.
Vitamin C is a storehouse of antioxidants that works to stimulate collagen production. It brightens the complexion, fades fine lines and fights free radical damage.
Vitamin A contains retinoids, compounds well known for performing skin-friendly jobs. Other than its main function of minimising fine lines and wrinkles it also helps in sloughing away dead skin cells. Another antioxidant-rich source that even helps in fighting hyperpigmentation and prevent skin keratinization.
Vitamin E helps in protecting the skin from UV damage. It treats wrinkles, provides skin elasticity. Also, Vitamin E prevents moisture evaporation and keeps the skin moisturized.
Niacinamide is one of the best friends for acne-prone skin. It prevents and reverses signs of ageing, brightens and smoothens the skin, calms inflammation and redness. Also, it is one of the best ingredients to reduce the appearance of pores and hydrate and support the skin barrier.
Now coming down to the efficacy of this Vitamin C serum. As I mentioned I straight away started using it without any patch test. Thankfully I did not face any purging or whatsoever. I have been using it in my am (follow up with sunscreen is a must) and pm skincare routine. My skin instantly fell in love with this thoughtfully created vitamin c serum. Usually, we tend to search for various products that contain vitamin C, vitamin B, Vitamin A or niacinamide. Most of the time it becomes quite difficult to layer so many products. This Vitamin C serum is an exception. It is combined with the goodness of niacinamide and various vitamins in a single product.
Firstly I would like to mention that I do get hormonal acne that leaves behind pesky acne scars. This Vitamin C serum helped in speeding up the process of diminishing the appearance of acne scars much quickly. What I love is that it even moisturises my skin and makes it look glowy and fresh all day long. Along with that, after 2 months I do feel that my skin looks a tad bit brighter and radiant. It has made my skin look much more even-toned. The texture of my skin feels slightly smoother. Finally, I would conclude on this note, apart from topical application of products one has to make sure to even incorporate a healthy lifestyle. Overall I must say this Vitamin C serum does exactly what it claims. It’s definitely a thumbs up from my side. Do give it a try and thank me later!
