Review

My first thoughts before using this primer were that it might feel heavy on the skin. It has a thick cream-like texture. But to my surprise, it glided very smoothly onto the skin because of being lightweight. My skin felt velvety soft and smooth. This primer is slightly pink in colour but upon application, it is translucent and did not give a pinkish cast on my skin. It gives a very natural look even if you don’t apply any foundation over it.L’oreal Paris Base Magique primer helped in effectively reducing the appearance of my pores to a large extent.

After application, the foundation spreads very smoothly and even increases its wear time to more than 2-3 hours. It did not break out or clog my pores though it has silicone present in it. It did give a matte finish but after 5 hours I could see my t zone getting slightly oily but not to the extent where I have to use a blotting paper. I think people with very large pores might not benefit from this primer. To conclude this primer effectively helps in controlling oil and helps in blending my foundation very easily.
