Mother Sparsh Stretch Marks Care Range Review

Mother Sparsh Stretch Marks Care Range Review

I have had stretch marks on my thighs and legs (area under the knees) since my teenage years. I was and will never be conscious about it because skin inclusivity and acceptance is the slogan that I always preach. Until now I had heard about bio-oil which is quite raved for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Mother Sparsh is the first ayurvedic brand to officially launch products that are specially designed for stretch marks. Now let’s head on to the individual reviews of the massage oil and toning butter.

Review of Mother Sparsh Stretch Marks Massage Oil

Mother Sparsh Stretch Marks Massage Oil

The Stretch Mark Massage oil has a very lightweight consistency. This massage oil is a potent blend of carefully selected herbs and oils. It is specially designed in a way to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars by hydrating the skin deeply. The oil aims at moisturising, toning and firming sagging skin, cellulite and stretch marks if used regularly. This stretch marks massage oil has a mild ayurvedic fragrance. It is recommended to use the oil twice daily however I use it at night. Although my skin is slightly on the drier side I feel this oil could be a little heavy during the daytime. I am sure none of us would like to have that sticky feeling in this hot and humid weather. However, I would definitely use it twice during winters.

Final Impressions of Stretch Marks Massage Oil

This oil effortlessly sinks into the skin without leaving any greasy feeling. Although it has turmeric in it, it surprisingly does not leave behind any yellowish tinge. A few of the ingredients of this oil are- nariyal, jiwanti, peepal and kachur. Coconut oil improves skin elasticity and prevents/reduces the appearance of stretch marks. Jiwanti and Turmeric oil lighten skin scars, tones and conditions the skin. Peepal boosts collagen production and forms new connective tissues. Thereby resulting in soft, smooth and supple skin. Kachur helps in skin regeneration and targets stretch marks. I’ll be listing the comprehensive list of ingredients at the end of the review.

I massage this oil for a good five minutes for the product to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. It is always recommended to massage the product if you’re targeting on reducing stretch marks. This is a highly nourishing and moisturising oil. I wake up to soft and smooth skin the next morning. It has made my skin a tad brighter due to the presence of Haldi and badam. I have used a lot of oils but this is by far one of my favourites. It is lightweight yet highly moisturising. Overall a great pick.

Review of Stretch Mark Toning Butter

Mother Sparsh Stretch Marks Toning Butter

The Stretch Marks Toning Butter is made with time-honoured traditions of Ayurveda. It is infused with herbs, enriching oils and butters. As the name suggests it tones the skin. It even claims to improve skin resiliency and reduce stretch marks. Initially, the toning butter looks quite thick and lusciously heavy. But once it comes in contact with the skin it melts like butter. It glides on smoothly and gets absorbed into the skin after a few seconds.

How I Use It

I alternate between the massage oil and toning butter. It is curated with 14 ayurvedic herbs & oils in their purest form. To make it more luscious it even has the goodness of cocoa butter, shea butter and Beeswax. This ensures to create a moisture barrier for expanding skin. The toning butter claims to stimulate collagen fibres to restore skin firmness. The buttery smooth texture of this toning butter is an absolute delight in itself. It deeply nourishes the skin. I feel this duo has made my skin very soft and smooth. If I had to choose between the toning butter and massage oil I would choose the former. Body butters are my absolute favourite and this particular one is made with the goodness of ayurvedic ingredients.

Overall this duo is great for deeply moisturising and nourishing the skin. I won’t be able to comment on its stretch marks reduction claim because it’s too early to see any difference.
