Plant Based Skincare – Mystiq Living Blemish Clear Kit Review
Do you believe in the power of plant-based skincare? I completely love plant-based formulations because it combines the power of natural ingredients. I’ll introduce you all to a new plant-based skincare, haircare and body care brand. Today’s post is about Mystiq Living Blemish Clear Kit Review. This brand aims to provide plant-based natural formulations that are effective and affordable too. The Blemish Clear Kit by Mystiq Living promises at diminishing the appearance of blemishes. It contains three products- Face Scrub, Face Mask and Day & Night Cream. Continue reading to know my thoughts on this particular range of products.
Mystiq Living Blemish Clear Kit is a special series regime that uses green coffee as its power ingredient. It is particularly designed for depigmentation and dark spots removal. Green coffee is rich in antioxidants and stimulates collagen production. It has an anti-ageing effect that results in much smoother and firmer-looking skin. The benefits of green coffee are innumerable and I’ll be dedicating a particular post designed to highlight the benefits of green coffee.
Packaging and Fragrance of Mystiq Living Blemish Clear Kit
The packaging of the products is quite conventional and convenient at the same time. The products are housed inside amber coloured plastic tubs with a screw lid. All three products have a stopper lid to avoid any spillage. All the details regarding the use, ingredients etc are mentioned on the label and the outer cardboard box. The fragrance of all three products is quite similar. They smell predominantly like shea butter. I would say the fragrance is neither too overpowering nor too mild.
Blemish Clear Face Scrub Review
This face scrub is an ayurvedic formulation with highly potent actives designed for all skin types. It has green coffee that aims to fight free radical damage and exfoliate the skin at the same time. Oatmeal and Turmeric repair skin damage like sunburns and blemishes. Turmeric has an active compound named curcumin, known to brighten the skin and reduce dark spots. Just like any physical scrub this also has a grainy texture due to the presence of green coffee and walnut in it.
One thing I would like to highlight is that unlike other physical scrubs this scrub does not create any lather as it has Almond oil, sunflower oil etc to name a few. I apply it on damp face after cleansing my face with a gentle face wash. Then massage it for a good 2-3 minutes and wash it off. Post washing my skin feels clean and smooth. It does not make skin dry or stretchy which is very common with most of the physical exfoliants. With regular use, the appearance of blackheads on my nose and chin area look less prominent. After that, I proceed with the next step of applying the Blemish Clear Face Mask.
Caution: Should not be used on active acne. Apply gentle pressure while scrubbing.
Blemish Clear Face Mask Review
This face mask is enriched with light kaolin clay and Bentonite clay that deeply cleanses the skin yet in a gentle way. It has Sandalwood which has been vouched by our grandmas since time immemorial. Sandalwood acts as an astringent that deeply cleanses the skin, tightens the pores and protects the skin from further breakouts. Apart from green coffee as its power ingredient, it has liquorice extract which acts as a natural skin brightener and prevents hyperpigmentation.
After patting my face dry I apply a layer of this mask on my face and neck. It glides on smoothly due to its silky and buttery texture. Upon application, it tingles for a few seconds. I do not let clay masks dry off completely. I always wash them off when they are slightly damp. Post washing this mask provides a healthy glow to my skin. My skin looks soft, smooth and radiant all at once. Now comes the final step of applying the Day & Night Blemish Clear Cream.
Mystiq Living Blemish Clear Day & Night Cream Review
I’ve been religiously using this cream in my am and pm skincare routine for one month. It has an extremely lightweight consistency that is perfect for my combination skin during summers. This cream provides the right amount of hydration and moisturisation to my skin without leaving behind even a single trace of oiliness. It sinks effortlessly into the skin and one needs only a small quantity of it. Therefore it would last you a pretty good amount of time. With green coffee as its power-packed ingredient, this cream is paired up with ingredients like mulberry extract and apple cider vinegar. Mulberry extract reduces the production of melanin. Whereas apple cider vinegar lightens dark spots and evens skin tone. With regular usage, my skin does look a tad bit brighter.
Now comes the main aspect-Does it help in fading blemishes and acne scars? The simple answer to it is YES! This kit is highly effective in speeding up the process of fading new acne scars and blemishes. I had stopped using my vitamin c serum to test the efficacy of this kit. This kit stands true to its name. I’ve attached a few photos for your reference to see how it has helped in fading my blemish. Overall I highly suggest you all to try out this kit if you’re on the lookout for a simple yet effective regime for scar removal or depigmentation.
