Wet n Wild Lipstick Stoplight Red – Review:

I was very excited to try out this shade after knowing its a dupe of MAC Ruby Woo. This lipstick is highly pigmented and suits my skin tone really well. It is a shade which I think will suit all skin tones. Just one stroke is enough to give you bright red colour kissable lips.

One setback about this lipstick is that it is very mattifying/dry and does not stand true to its claim that it is semi-matte or gives a creme finish. You will have to exfoliate and hydrate your lips well before applying this lipstick to prevent your lips from becoming dry and chapped.Or else you can even apply a lipgloss or vaseline after applying this lipstick.

It has a very good staying power. This lipstick is smudgeproof and remained intact without any touchup for more than 6 hours. You can even use it as a lip tint by just dabbing a little amount onto your lips. What I didn’t like about this lipstick is that it is very difficult to take off this lipstick. I had to use 3 cotton balls dipped in coconut oil to get rid off it. In short, if you are running on a low budget then you can give this lipstick a try.

Cons:

Extremely dries out lips.

Final Verdict:

I would personally not buy this lipstick again as it was extremely mattifying. This can be tackled if you apply a lipgloss over it. If you are looking for an affordable MAC Ruby Woo dupe then definitely give it a try.
